Can i use this now in blender, is it applicable, can I integrate the knowledge? Was it purely theory on theoretical examples? Did I learn how to solve a realistic problem, or achieve a certain goal? Was there enough actual practice? Did i do anything on my own or was it all just copy and paste?
Was the time efficiently spent? Was the lesson going too fast, or too slow? Was a single lesson too long, could I hold my attention? Did I learn just enough new techniques, or was it too much for once? Did I solve a problem or achieve the same goal with different approaches?
was the lesson clear and understandable including the language, did I understand every detail? Were there any noises in the background, bad microphone, or unclear image? Does the tutorial follow a certain path, does it have a structure, does it make sense and builds up piece by piece?

After about a year and a half of pause from 3d modeling in blender, I was searching for a quick and fun tutorial, that would remind me of all the shortcuts and all the basics that blender has.
And since i like CG Boost’s other tutorials like Cubic Worlds and Blender launch pad I tried this one.
It really didn’t serve my purpose, because I would actually need to start a specific tutorial, that would start as a beginners tutorial and then shift to intermediate. But I did remember most of the basic shortcuts and ways to do the scene in these tutorial.
And to talk about the tutorial from a beginners point of view a bit. I liked it quite a lot, although I think that modelling was not complex enough, meaning that beginner won’t learn that much in how to model things, which is the first step in 3d modeling.
But it did touch all the aspect of making a 3d image, like uv unwrapping, texturing, lighting rendering etc. So you do get to learn quite a few things in here.
If I would have to pick one of the free tutorials to start with as a beginner, I wouldn’t pick this one. I’d reather choose Gabbit’s Low poly landscapes or complete beginner’s guide and then move on to blender launch pad If you like CG Boost’s way of teaching.
But all in all a very good tutorial, definitely check it out if you wanna see how to do the image above fairly simply.
